Geechee Fam Apparel Ever Since 1981, Carlos Butler II has been Geechee Fam (hence, exist 81). Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Carlos grew up heavily influenced by the Gullah culture and historic backdrop that only the South could provide. After leaving Charleston, he spent the next six years traveling throughout the world. Scotland, England, France and Italy were some of the highlights of a journey that would lead Carlos to a major revelation. During his travels, he slowly came to realize how unique was the place in which he grew up and how important this was to him. To show his appreciation and gratitude for this unique culture that influenced him so significantly, Carlos created Geechee Fam Apparel. Using all original designs created with Heather Moser of HM Design, Geechee Fam was officially created as a company in 2006. It launched its apparel line in June 2007.

Geechee Fam Apparel continues to embrace new trends and styles while maintaining the importance of cultural traditions and ethics. Geechee Fam Apparel designs and sells men's and women's fashions, and is developing the GF Junior's line for children. The unique blend of style and originality serves as the solid foundation for Geechee Fam. The designs in each specific collection provide authenticity and constructive imagination to the wearer of each garment.
